Since 2008, I have been involved in software testing – I love it! Since 2015, I have not only been testing but also training other testers and those who want to enter the world of testing. Currently, I manage a fantastic group of 40 testers in the Wrocław branch of Spyrosoft S.A.
From 2017 to 2022, I happily worked as an accredited ISTQB trainer, as it allowed me to share my knowledge and experience with others. I have often seen my training participants go on to start great careers in the IT industry.
I am also a quality auditor and enjoy discussing software testing processes with clients, helping them implement these processes in their companies. My mission? Promoting good testing practices and supporting professional development as a mentor and trainer – this is fulfilling for me. That’s why I run an Instagram profile @mentor_testowania_opr, where I show the process of career change and starting work as a software tester in daily posts.

In the age of artificial intelligence, human mentors are still very important. My presentation, „Mentor vs. Machine: Why AI Will Never Replace Human Guidance,” explains why people prefer talking to humans instead of machines. A statistic from Forbes shows that 75% of customers find chatbots annoying. Many people hang up because they don’t want to talk to a machine.
Also, when testing new ideas or products, getting feedback is very important. Human mentors are better at understanding and using this feedback than AI. Without good feedback, it’s hard to learn and improve. This shows that humans are better than machines in these situations. Join me to learn why human mentors are still needed and how they help create better connections than any machine can.
